Spencer Berger (Henry) began performing at the age of 9 as a member of the Metropolitan Opera's Children's Chorus, singing onstage with such greats as Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. After winning "Best Actor" and "Best Supporting Actor" in the same year while attending Vassar College, Spencer moved to Los Angeles and co-founded the three-man sketch comedy group After School Special. A.S.S. quickly found a home at the Comedy Central Stage, where they were honored as LA Weekly's Pick of the Week. His original screenplay Skills Like This caught the eye of Academy Award-winning producer Donna Dewey, as well as sales rep John Sloss (Little Miss Sunshine), and in 2006, filming commenced, with Spencer in the starring role. Skills Like This premiered at the 2007 South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, and won the Audience Award for Best Narrative feature. At the Edinburgh International Film Festival, it was honored as a "Best of the Fest" selection, along with Death Proof, Once, and Ratatouille. Domestic and international distribution deals are currently in the works.
